Sanjaya’s time at the University of Vocational Technology as part of the 2016/17 B.Tech in Multimedia & Web Technology batch was a pivotal chapter in his life. It was here that he discovered his passion and career path. Beyond academics, he grew as a leader by founding the University Gavel Club and co-founding the university's Media Club, 'Vividra'. A standout memory was representing the university at the first Gavel Conference in Sri Lanka, winning second runner-up in 'Gavel Got Talent' in 2017. The university equipped him with practical skills in camera handling, visual storytelling, and teamwork. His final-year project, a Number Plate Recognition System, was a highlight, earning high marks for its innovative approach. After graduation, he transitioned to the private sector as a Senior Designer, helping prominent brands establish their digital presence. Today, he returns to his alma mater as a Visiting Lecturer, encouraging undergraduates to go beyond lectures and get involved in clubs and projects.
