The University of Vocational Technology hosted a workshop and site visit on 14th March 2026, from 8.30 AM to 1.30 PM, as part of the Capacity Development Programme for Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS) Class I officers, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.
A total of 40 officers participated, gaining insights into the role and mandate of UoVT, the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, and the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Framework in Sri Lanka.
Participants explored innovative practices, training models, and institutional management approaches, engaging in discussions to deepen their understanding of the national skills development system and its contribution to strengthening the workforce.
The session enhanced awareness and provided practical exposure, supporting the professional development of SLEAS Class I officers in policy and institutional management.
