The 11th Convocation of the University of Vocational Technology was held on 07th January 2026 at the BMICH under the patronage of Chancellor Prof. Harischandra Abeygunawardena and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Prasanna Premadasa. 697 students graduated across 14 degree programmes, marking a major milestone for the university.

Event Summary
The 11th Convocation of the University of Vocational Technology was ceremoniously held on 07th January 2026 at the prestigious Bandaranaike International Memorial Conference Hall (BMICH). The event took place under the patronage of the Chancellor, Professor Harischandra Abeygunawardena, and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Prasanna Premadasa.
A total of 697 graduates were conferred degrees across 14 academic programmes, celebrating their dedication, perseverance, and professional readiness to enter the global workforce.
In recognition of exceptional academic excellence, 23 students received special awards. Notably, Asinshanee Menaka Herath was honored with the Vidya Jyothi Professor Dayantha S. Wijesekera Memorial Gold Award for achieving the highest overall academic excellence.
The ceremony reflected the university’s continued commitment to fostering quality vocational education and producing highly skilled graduates dedicated to national development.
